Philly: Chinese Lantern Festival

Last week, while driving down Vine Street, I spotted an unusual sight. It was a massive and colorful dragon sitting on Franklin Square. It turned out to be the centerpiece of the Chinese Lantern Festival, the first-ever of its kind in the Northeast, which debuts tonight. The dragon, along with illuminated flowers, panda bears, and lanterns will delight people of all ages until June 12.
