Philadelphia is having its coldest weekend in twenty years but we decided to brave the chilly and blustery weather, walk several blocks with the wind blowing tiny icicles on our faces, for a hearty and delicious brunch at one of our favorite spots, Sabrina’s Cafe, in the Italian Market on 9th and Christian. We went early enough to beat the usual Sunday morning crowd but were still surprised to see the place already almost full with people who were apparently more determined and perhaps hungrier than us! My husband had the Huevos Rancheros while I had the Bella Vista Omelette with eggplant, tomatoes, spinach, and avocado with a cup (or two!) of hot coffee. I felt fully warmed up and nourished to step outside and get on with the rest of the day.
